Is Everything That Happens to Us God’s Will?

Join me on this spiritual journey

First Make a decision
To seek God’s Will
and
give
God a chance to guide you…

God’s Words say that
God will also
give us
the desires of our hearts
Meaning that
God cares about each of our
needs, wants and desires…

God’s Divine Plan

I don’t believe in this teaching
That God causes everything to happen
Good and Evil…

If this quote is true
Then God causes abuse and
negative things to happen to
innocent people…
to teach them lessons…
to punish them…
to inflict pain…

I don’t want a relationship
with a God who punishes us with
abuse?

Trust me on this…

If you tell a person who has suffered abuse
that all the bad things that happened in their life
were part of God’s Plan

They will reject God…

I know from personal experience

We have two choices
Good
Evil

Albert Einstein again

He rejects a punishing God
God of Theology – God who rewards Good and punishes Evil
I reject this theology also…

I believe we were given the freedom of
“free choice”
We are responsible for either
a reward or punishment…

I love this Cherokee Proverb
There is a battle of two wolves inside us

One is evil

Anger
Jealousy
Greed
Resentment
Lies
inferiority
and
Ego

The other is Good
Joy
Peace
Love
Hope
Humility
kindness
empathy
and
TRUTH

“The one you feed, wins…
The choice is yours
We are given a choice
and
We are held accountable for
the negative or positive consequences
of our choices

The consequences of our choices
give our choices
value and meaning and purpose
thus we have an opportunity
to learn our spiritual lessons
of life

When we say we had no choice
we only saw the familiar path we were on
and chose not to seek another path or another way…

The 3 C’s of Life
Chance – Takes chances
Choices – Make choices
Change- happens as a result

Wrong is not right, just because everyone else is doing it…

From the movie “The Shack”
If you haven’t seen this movie
Take a chance and see it…

God doesn’t need to punish us for our sins, evil, wrongdoings
Our guilt and sin and mistakes punish us from within
God doesn’t do the punishing
God steps in to help us heal from the traumas
and gives us divine healing, divine peace and divine joy…
as a reward…

Asking for Divine Help and Guidance
To Become
Aware
and
Accept
and
Action – take action by accepting the divine healing…

People make bad
or wrong choices
and innocent people
suffer the consequences
of their wrong words or actions or deeds…

Blaming God or the Devil…

When we blame God
or the Devil

Instead of blaming
Ask God for Forgiveness
and
Ask God for the direction to make our lives better

When you blame others, God and Devil
you give up your power to learn, change and grow…
Choose growth
Choose healing
Choose peace
Choose joy

It can be really
painful to stay
where you know you
do not belong
However,
Awareness and
Acceptance
Can give you
peace until
the right timing…

Many people and many religious teachings
buy into this interpretation…
Every time I hear this statement
by spirit goes into a tailspin…
There is something really wrong
with this mindset…

It is ok to question
the interpretation of scripture…
We are all a work in progress

Many times we read it for ourselves and still
misinterpret God’s Words
until one day it makes sense…
Keep learning…

When we know better
we can do better

Remember the 3 monkeys
Hear no evil
Speak no evil
See no evil

and the added

4th monkey
Do no evil…

It is best to do the next right thing
to avoid the negative consequences
from the wrong decision…

  1. Hello Esther Mae!
It’s nice that you have picked up the thread again and report on your Camino and reflect on your path to and with God.
I hope you are doing well and you still have fun with your 4-legged friend. In 3 weeks I will be back in Spain and make a pilgrimage to Santiago on the Primitivo.
    Greetings from Germany
    your pilgrim companion Ulrich
