Cute hotel room. Feeling a little isolated and wanting to just stay in the hotel room. I forced myself to put on my poncho, because it was raining and just get out and walk and see what the Camino and God has for me.
I ran into a couple from the Netherlands whom I had talked to before. They told me about a restaurant that was serving a pilgrim meal for 12 Euros. 3 courses. Sometimes they are good and other times not so good.
Well, this meal was delicious. Vegetable soup ok and the main course, grilled tuna was delicious. And the flan dessert was awesome.
The couple surprised me and paid for my meal. Such a blessing and I would have missed it all if I would have isolated in my room. This is how the Camino takes care of you.
It was raining tonight which means slippery rocks tomorrow,so I must take extra precaution when hiking up and down the hills. Going up the mountain and then down the mountain tomorrow. May be rainy.
I am in Rabanal del Camino and going to Molinaseca tomorrow and Cacabellas day after that.
Tomorrow I will be celebrating 32 years of continuous sobriety. What better place to celebrate than on the Camino de Santiago. 32 years ago I stopped drinking and started working and learning a spiritual way of living life.
I write this blog because I have learned so much from so many spiritual teachers and mentors along my way and from the people in the rooms of AA.
I want to pass on to all of you what others have shown and taught me.
Keep tuned in and when I get back, I know I will be led to write more about what I have learned.

Believe for big miracles. God is a God of miracles. This Holy year is special. Remember, you are walking with me spiritually and you will get the same blessing and forgiveness I will be getting when we all walk through that Holy Door in Santiago together.
The miracles will happen in God’s perfect timing.
